What is it? The 4-week exercise programme based on 2 physical appointments per week given by a physiotherapist is an excellent way to prepare your body for the intensive physical exertion during winter sports. This programme focuses specifically on strengthening important muscle groups, improving flexibility and increasing stability to prevent injuries.
Typical exercises consist of:
1. Strength training; for the legs, to strengthen the muscles of the thighs, hamstrings and calves.
2. Core stability exercises, to strengthen the torso and improve your balance.
3. Flexibility exercises for the hips, ankles and lower back to increase freedom of movement.
4. Cardio exercises, to improve endurance, which is essential for the longer skiing or snowboarding days.
5. Balance and coordination exercises, to improve balance.
The program consists of various exercises to gradually build up the intensity, so that the body can adapt well and you are optimally prepared for winter sports. Following this program can significantly reduce the risk of injuries and ensures that you are better able to enjoy winter sports. Payment for this takes place as a preventive program and is declared via the supplementary insurance. If you do not have AV, please inquire about the costs.
