My Background
As a child, I aspired to study medicine. I have always had a tremendous interest in the workings of the human body and wanted to know everything about it. I was fortunate to be accepted into medical school immediately, so I eagerly began my studies. However, I soon realized that this path wasn’t entirely right for me. I discovered that I found the human psyche even more fascinating. Eventually, I decided to switch paths and pursued psychology, and I have never regretted that decision. I have the most beautiful profession.
However, in my work as a GZ-psychologist, I frequently encountered the limited perspective of psychology. The focus was primarily on the psyche and behavior, while well-being is determined by so much more than that. Neglecting this leaves a goldmine of possibilities untapped.
From personal experience, I knew that a healthy lifestyle and nutrition significantly impact how fit you feel and, importantly, your mood, concentration, sleep, memory, and more. If someone has psychological issues, it’s possible that these are partly maintained by a lack of proper nutrition.
That’s why I began to specialize in lifestyle and nutrition, completing the OERsterk Coach training with Richard de Leth. This allows me to give you targeted advice based on your personal situation and specific complaints. I can then create a customized action plan that aligns with your unique wishes, goals, and possibilities.
